The French novelist Jean Genet brought his erotic musings to life with his one and only film project – 1950’s Un Chant D’Amour. The surreal flick doesn’t have any dialogue but does include a lot of impassioned and creative homoerotic imagery. The jizz-st goes as such: An older prison inmate lusts for the twenty-something younger inmate in the cell next to him. While they can’t physically interact, they find ways of expressing their passion for one another, and the older inmate even masturbates while thinking of his prison bud.
All the while the prison guard discovers feelings of arousal while watching this social distancing dance of seduction between the two prisoners in separate cells. He goes so far as to enter the cell of the older inmate and make him suck on a gun.
In a bittersweet moment, we get to follow the older inmate’s imagination, in which he and his lover are finally united in the countryside together. Their physical intimacy comes to life on screen with brief moments of actual nudity!
At the end of the movie the two continue to emotionally connect from their separate cells as the guard storms off home. To furiously masturbate. Probably.
